Who We Are

MyBizStudies (mybizstudies.com) is an interactive revision platform for GCSE and A-Level Business Studies students, operated by Mark Kearney. Contact: hello@mybizstudies.com.

Information We Collect

• Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name and email address. You can register using Google OAuth or email/password.
• Usage data: We record your exam practice attempts, flashcard progress, and test results to provide personalised coaching and progress tracking.
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Creem.io, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your card details. Creem.io handles all payment processing, VAT, and tax compliance on our behalf.

How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to: provide and improve the MyBizStudies platform, deliver AI-powered exam practice, marking, and coaching summaries, track your study progress and generate personalised feedback, send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets) via our email provider Resend, and process subscription payments through Creem.io.

Cookies and Tracking

MyBizStudies uses the following cookies and tracking technologies:

Essential cookies: We use localStorage to save your preferences (such as your A-Level/GCSE level selection and login session). These are necessary for the site to function and do not require consent.

Non-essential cookies: We use the TikTok Pixel (ID: D6UMCABC77U4GR00ENM0) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on TikTok. When Automatic Advanced Matching (AAM) is enabled, the pixel may collect hashed (encrypted) email addresses from form fields on our site to match website activity with TikTok users. This data is encrypted using SHA-256 before being sent to TikTok.

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies when you first visit our site using the cookie consent banner. Your choice is saved and the banner will not appear again. If you reject cookies, the TikTok pixel will not load and no tracking data will be shared with TikTok.

To change your cookie preferences, clear your browser's localStorage for mybizstudies.com and the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.

Data Sharing

We share data with the following third parties, solely for the purposes described above: Supabase (database and authentication hosting), Anthropic (AI services for exam practice and coaching, via Supabase Edge Functions), TikTok (advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies), Creem.io (payment processing), and Resend (transactional email delivery). We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Data Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted database hosting and authentication services. All TikTok tracking data is hashed (encrypted) before transmission. Payment data is handled entirely by Creem.io and never passes through our servers.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to processing of your data, and withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time. Children's Privacy

MyBizStudies is designed for GCSE and A-Level students, some of whom may be under 18. We only collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service. We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from minors.
